Arsenal have joined the race with Liverpool to sign the French International Nabil Fekir this summer.

Both the English clubs had shown their interest in the Real Betis forward in the past. Jurgen Klopp is a longstanding admirer of the 27-year-old forward as he almost brought him to Anfield 3 years back. And now he is again reviewing his chances of getting the French forward this summer.

Nabil Fekir, who was one of the top transfer targets of the Gunners in 2018, has now become a transfer target for many clubs across Europe according to a Spanish site Estadio Deportivo.

Fekir, who Joined the La Liga side Real Betis back in July 2019 has struggled to reflect the form he use to display in Lyon and has failed to live up to the expectation since his arrival in Spain.

The French Forward has just scored 10 goals so far in 63 appearance for the Spanish club and also his medical history doesn’t look pretty as has been part of injuries which was a concern for the Arsenal as well as Liverpool to get his signatures in the past.

Liverpool and Arsenal can target Fekir at low price:

According to Goal, looking at the financial situation in Spain, Fekir might be available at a cheaper rate as low as £26m, despite the fact that the player has a £77million release clause in his contract.

The Premier League champions would be eager to get a forward this summer as the front three are going through a disappointing run this season. The Reds would be hoping to get the signatures of the Frenchmen this summer.

Arsenal had also shown their interest a year ago to get the World Cup winner but was unable to get his signatures. Apart from the two English sides Italian and French club AC Milan and Rennes respectively interested in signing Fekir before the end of this summer’s transfer window.

It would be interesting to see how much are clubs willing to spend keeping in mind the financial loss they have gone through during this pandemic.
