Liverpool’ Champions League Quarter-Final Clash to be held in Spain

The mouth-watering first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals clash between Liverpool and Real Madrid will now take place in Madrid.

This was confirmed after the Spanish Government announced that the travel restrictions from the United Kingdom will be lifted at the end of March.

Looking forward to the clash now it will take place at Real Madrid Castilla’s Alfredo Di Stefano ground on April 6, not in Santiago Bernabeu, as it is currently going through a redevelopment phase.

Liverpool played the round of 16 legs in Budapest against RB Leipzig winning the tie 4-0 on aggregate. It will be fascinating to see how the clash against Real Madrid works out to be.

With both the teams underperforming in their respective domestic leagues this season it will be interesting to see who comes out to be on the top in this clash.

Liverpool would be eager to take revenge remembering the finals of 2018:

Liverpool, Six Sports

Liverpool, currently sitting at the 7th spot in the Premier League table might be disappointed with their current league form but have a pretty good run in the Champions League having only lost 1 game in this competition so far.

The Reds would have sour memories of the 2018 Champions League finals in their mind because they were beaten by Real Madrid in a one-sided contest after Salah got injured by the one and only Sergio Ramos and thus forced to leave the field after just 30 minutes into the match.

But before facing The Los Blancos in the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp’s side has to face yet another challenge in the Premier League as they fly to Drayton Park, London to play Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium.
