Liverpool eyes youngsters from Bayer Leverkusen and Brighton

Liverpool have their radar on two new targets for the January transfer window. The Premier League table leaders are planning on being active in January. They had a pretty quiet summer transfer window where they confirmed only two signings.

Federico Chiesa made his way to the Anfield Stadium in the summer from Serie A giants Juventus. The Reds signed the Italian for a price of 12.5 million euros. Chiesa has struggled to get playing time after his move to Liverpool. He has only played 18 minutes in the Premier League. The left winger also had problems with his fitness.

Liverpool are in brilliant form this season across all competitions. They are currently leading both the Champions League and the Premier League table.

The Dutch manager has set plans to bring more reinforcement to Anfield to boost their chances of winning titles. Liverpool are actively keeping a radar on two youngsters from the Premier League and the German League Bundesliga according to Sky Sports.

Brighton’s Joao Pedro and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong are on the list for Liverpool in January. These two youngsters have shined with their respective clubs garnering attention from giants like Liverpool.

The Reds are looking to acquire Joao Pedro from their Premier League competitors Brighton. The Brazilian has attracted attention from big clubs and is likely to make a move in January. Liverpool will see tough contention to bring the youngster to the club.

Pedro has been a clinical Brighton this season. The club is unlikely to release the player in January and consider releasing Joao in the summer transfer window. Joao will be a huge asset for the Reds if he joins Arne Slot’s side.

Liverpool keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong

The Reds have set their eyes on another promising youngster from the Bundesliga. The club is actively looking to bring Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong to London. There are chances that a key player from the Liverpool squad can part ways with the club in January. Frimpong could be the perfect replacement.

Trent Alexander Arnold has been long linked with a move to Real Madrid in January. The English defender is an important of the London giants. Los Blancos have been chasing the youngster for a while. Jude Bellingham who is Trent’s national teammate has been personally convincing the 26-year-old to make a move to Spain.

Jeremie Frimpong’s agent Dirk Hebel has been invited to Anfield to take a further step in Frimpong’s signing. The centre-back has a release clause of 33 million euros and the Premier League giants are working to sign the young defender.

The Dutch is likely to fit in Arne Slot’s game plan who is also a Dutch national. Frimpong has been exceptional for Bayer Leverkusen where the youngster has had 26 goal contributions in 47 games. Jeremie is in good form this season too as he has 9 goal contributions in 22 games this campaign.

Fulham give the Reds a run for their money

Liverpool hosted Fulham at the Anfield Stadium in their last Premier League fixture. This match was full of emotions as both the clubs fought hard to secure full three points. The match ended on a 2-2 result where both the teams shared a point.

Fulham was the first to get on the scoresheet as Andreas Pereira first found the back of the net. Cody Gakpo was the first goalscorer for the Reds in this game not long after Rodrigo Muniz pushed Fulham ahead. The table leaders did manage to scrape another equaliser through Diogo Jota.

Arne Slot was more than thrilled after his team managed to get a draw with 10 men on the pitch. Andrew Robertson was sent off the pitch after a red card offence in the 17th minute. Slot was not particularly happy with the decisions made by the referee in this match.

Liverpool need to be cautious as they lead the Premier League table with 36 points. Chelsea are the team who are trailing to dethrone the Reds from the top spot. Arne Slot’s men will only want to be consistent with their form to secure the English silverware.
