Liverpool have been told that only £ 100 million will cost to secure the signing of Benfica’s midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez has come out as a rising star fro Argentina in FIFA World Cup and has caught the eye all over Europe. The 21-years old scored a crucial goal against Mexico and started against Poland bagging an assist. He helped Albiceleste to send them into knockout fixtures.
The Argentina international has been a vital part of Benfica’s squad and their success in the Champions League this season. Benfica topped their Champions League group which included the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool looking for midfielders
Liverpool are currently looking for midfielders as both Naby Kieta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are rumored to be leaving the club in the summer. Their contract expires this summer.
According to Jornal de Noticias, Liverpool have been told about the release clause of £ 104 million for the Argentinian midfielder.
Another alternative option for Reds is Jude Bellingham who would cost them a similar price. Jurgen Klopp has made it very clear to bring someone whether he might be Jude or Enzo.
“I know we have had this discussion since it all started and I am the one who said we don’t need a midfielder and you were all right and I was wrong,”
he told the press
“That’s the situation. There is really nothing more to say about it. We are looking for it, and if it is the right player we need him and if it is not the right player we don’t need him.”
