According to several reports, Liverpool are keeping tabs on Monaco youngster Aurelien Tchouameni for a potential midfield addition in upcoming transfer windows. The Reds had been linked with the Frenchman in the summer transfer window but fail to sign him. But Liverpool have not given up on signing Tchouameni as they look forward to signing him in January or the next transfer window.
Aurelien Tchouameni has emerged in the top list of midfielders as he joined Monaco back in January 2020. And playing for the French side since 2020 the youngster has appeared 60 times, scoring 5 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. While his performances for Monaco have also helped me to get a call-up in the first-team from his national side.
Following Tchouameni’s developing gameplay in the midfield, some top European clubs have written his name in the priority list. Currently, three clubs, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Juventus are keeping tabs on signing the youngster. But if Tchouameni continues to grow like this there might be a some-more clubs adding to the interested list.
Currently, among three existing clubs, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Juventus, Liverpool are tipped to be leading the race for signing the youngster. The Reds were the first club this summer who approached Monaco to have talks regarding the deal. Following which the French side slapped a 40 million price tag on selling Tchouameni to Liverpool.
The Reds listing the price backed off from the deal as no further talks happened between the two clubs. But Liverpool will be again running for signing Tchouameni, potentially in the next two transfer windows. As, because the Reds are struggling in the central midfield after letting go Georginio Wijnaldum for free this summer. Following which, Liverpool needs immediate reinforcement in the midfield before it’s too late.
Chelsea and Juventus to race with Liverpool for signing Aurelien Tchouameni
Other than Liverpool, Chelsea are another Premier League club that are keeping tabs on Aurelien Tchouameni. The Blues have quite a talent in the midfield but are falling short on options. While Chelsea’s new signing Saul Niguez has failed to impress Thomas Tuchel till now in his loan spell. Following this, Chelsea are hoping to sign Monaco youngster Aurelien Tchouameni.
Juventus are another club that are interested in the midfielder as they are currently in need of good and young midfielders. The Old Lady signed Manuel Locatelli on a two-year loan deal this summer, and the Italian has been proving himself well. But apart from him, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, and Weston Mckennie have failed to impress this season. Following this, Juventus are in search of a new midfielder and have set their eyes for Aurelien Tchouameni.
