Jurgen Klopp’s team is out of the Premiere League title. They are looking for a Champions League spot now with planning for next season.

Bellingham remains their priority target as the young star keeps shining in Germany. He could help Reds to strengthen their midfield department which seems to be shaky this season.

Liverpool already held talks for Bellingham

According to Sky Sports Germany, via reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Liverpool are optimistic about the signing of Bellingham in the summer.

He explained:

“No official offer has been made by Liverpool yet, But according to Sky Germany, Liverpool are offering him the possibility of becoming the new Steven Gerrard.

We know lots of clubs are potentially interested in signing him in the summer – Real Madrid, Liverpool, PSG, Chelsea, Man City.

But Sky Germany are saying this afternoon that Liverpool are optimistic of signing him in the summer and talks have already been held.”

Klopp is currently out of midfield options. Bellingham’s signing this year would definitely increase the options Klopp has at his disposal.

The England International has the most shots at targets, dribbles completed, and fouls drawn per 90 min for Dortmund.

The midfielder can also contribute defensively having the most successful tackles per game for Dortmund. He has been the best-performing player for them by average match rating.

His addition at Anfield would help Klopp’s team to get back on track from next season.
