Jurgen Klopp heaps praise on Liverpool’s youngster

Beck has been a player leaving impression on the boss away from the club. He was earlier loaned to Dundee, came back to Liverpool and again loaned to Dundee. Speaking before the Chelsea clash, Klopp said he was not happy with Owen not making into the starting squad on loan.

Owen as well, like Calvin, had previously a difficult loan spell. He didn’t play in Portugal, came back here and was at Bolton as well [as Bradley] and didn’t play there either, so we were all like, ‘How can that happen?’ because we really think highly of him.

So, he goes to Scotland, is playing there and it gave him a massive boost. He arrived here and looked like a man, really, left-back, really ready to go. And now, the other boys are coming back we have the opportunity to give him that time [on loan] again, it makes sense.”

Owen is a highly rated product of the academy and also within it as well. His second spell at Dundee is looking a bit more saturated than the previous one. On his return to the club he immediately registered an assist against Aberdeen, which is exactly what you want to see from the 21-year-old.
