Here we have with us the Liverpool Player Ratings during their dashing win against Newcastle United. The Reds took down the Magpies 3-1 at Anfield during their Premier League clash on Friday.
A brutally dominating performance took Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool back to 2nd place in the table, chasing Manchester City with a one-point difference.
The game had Newcastle open the scoring early in the game. Mistakes on both ends of the pitch by Thiago enabled and lined a beautiful goal for Jonjo Shelvey. However, that enjoyment was short-lived as Liverpool started their attacking dominance. A rather controversial goal by Diogo Jota was followed by a tap-in by Mohamed Salah to give the Reds a lead before halftime.
In the second half, the Merseyside outfits kept on pushing for a third but were unable to produce the desired outcome. The Magpies caught the opposition off guard on a few occasions but lacked the end product. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late rocket broke the second-half deadlock, concluding the game 3-1.
