Liverpool Set to Make Record-Breaking Offer for Alexander Isak

Liverpool are preparing a record-breaking offer for Alexander Isak of Newcastle United.

Liverpool are said to be growing interest for Alexander Isak

Reports claim that the Reds will make a British record fee of around £130m for Newcastle United’s Isak.

It would break the current British record of £115m set by Chelsea for Moises Caicedo. Liverpool are leading the Premier League by a healthy 13 points. However, Arne Slot’s side is still looking to bolster their attack.

Mohamed Salah has been outstanding this campaign.. With 27 goals, no other forward from Liverpool has managed to hit double digits in the league. Cody Gakpo has managed to score a total of 8 goals, the next highest.

This is where the Sweden international can come in. He has his pace, power and finishing. That would add the extra bite needed to Liverpool’s frontline.

There’s a lot more to this possible transfer than money. Salah’s recent contract extension until the summer of 2027 has strengthened the Merseyside club. The head coach Arne Slot believes that the Egyptian forward would be very helpful for players to join.

The thought of the Sweden finisher and Salah playing together is very tempting for fans. They would even call this duo the most lethal attack in the league.

Kingsley Coman is being linked with a summer move to the Reds

As well, Liverpool is keeping an eye on Kingsley Coman, as confirmed by journalist Christian Falk. Federico Chiesa could go to Napoli, or to another PL side. Then we might see a player like the Frenchman fill the space in the squad.

Salah did have interest for returning to Chelsea. But, for now and good news for his supporters, he is staying.

The Reds are pursuing trophies and world-class talents. If they make the Isak signing, it will say a lot about where the club is heading. And begin to establish a legacy at Anfield.
