Liverpool superstar, Andrew Robertson shares what Jurgen Klopp told the players after his announcement. Robertson and whole footballing society was left surprised after Klopp announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

This will mark an end to a 9-year long glorified tenure at Merseyside. Besides being a Premier League champion, Klopp is also a Champions League and Club World Cup winner. Moreover, he has won all the domestic cups in the meanwhile.

Nevertheless, The Reds will be looking to give their boss a supreme finish. The club is in the Carabao Cup final as well as in FA Cup and Europa League knockout stages. Furthermore, they are having half a chance to win the Premier League as they are five points clear at the top.

Andy Robertson reveals the reaction of Klopp with Liverpool mates

Speaking on ITV, Robertson reveals what Jurgen said to the players.

Like the rest of the world, it was a bit of a shock. When he told us all I think nobody really knew where to look or what to do. You have to respect his decision. He’s thought long and hard about it. He’s not a rash person and obviously thought a lot with it in terms of his family and everything like that.

I think he doesn’t want the fans singing his song and that, but I think he’s going to lose that battle! Unfortunately. But for us players the one thing he asked of us is that it has to be business as usual. We have to keep winning games and hopefully that results in giving him a send off that he truly deserves.”

Liverpool currently stand forth in all the fronts and competitions so far. They will love to give their manager a proper farewell. They will have their chance to win a silverware this season in last February in Carabao Cup final. Jurgen Klopp will also be high on adrenaline to end his tenure in a rather successful way. Although the news of his announcement will loom for several days, the players have to show professionalism on the field.
