The 18-year-old and his representatives are believed to be in advanced talks with the Reds. They want the move to Anfield done this month. Ramsay is expected to be the next signing after Darwin Nunez for the Reds. Sky Sports News claims that Dons are demanding £10m for Ramsay despite reports of Liverpool agreeing a £4m fee. Aberdeen wants at least £5m upfront with a further £5m in add-ons. Liverpool are not the only team interested in the right-back. But the player would prefer a move to Anfield. Other teams in England, Germany, and Italy are interested.

RAMSAY, A PLAYER FOR THE FUTURE

Ramsay is highly regarded by Aberdeen after he enjoyed a breakthrough 2021-22 season. He won the Scottish FootballWriters Young Player of the year award. Ramsay has scored once and assisted nine times in 33 games across all competitions. If the sale goes through, it will be Aberdeen’s biggest sale to date. Personal terms have already been agreed between Liverpool and his agents. If he joins Liverpool, Ramsay will be the backup at right back to Trent Alexander Arnold. Although, he is expected to play games as the Reds tend to go deep in all competitions they participate in.

Aberdeen are trying to squeeze as much out of Liverpool knowing they have the got the finances. For a club of their size, it represents a significant injection of cash for a player, they have developed since Ramsay was a kid. Liverpool may play hardball in return as they would like to invest that money in other areas of the field. If Ramsay signs he will be the third signing for Liverpool after Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez( expected to be announced tomorrow)
