With the IPL and the Mega Auctions around the corner, all the IPL team camps have started their trials for sourcing new and upcoming talent for 2022’s IPL.
And this year has seen a lot of up-and-coming youngsters who have performed brilliantly in this year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Let’s have a look at some of these talented youngsters that have made the cut for the trial camps of 2022’s IPL.
Subhranshu Senapati
The first name that we will be checking out is Odisha’s 24-year-old batsman Subhranshu Senapati. He is the leading run-scorer for Odisha in this season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has been invited by CSK for IPL trials.
Since his T20 debut for Odisha, he has amassed 637 runs at an average of 28.95 and has ramped up three half-centuries.
Devaprasad Sinha
The second youngster who has been called for the IPL trials is Tripura’s Devaprasad Sinha, who is currently giving trials for RCB in Kanpur.
He is from Kailashahar that is 156 km away from the capital of Tripura, Agartala. He is an all-rounder for his team.
Himan Phukan
Another youth from the Northeast is Himan Phukan, the 23-year-old from Meghalaya who has been roped in by the Mumbai Indians after his impressive performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for his state.
Kashmiri cricketers have already left their mark in IPL and are still making an influx into the trial camps after seeing Abdul Samad and Umran Malik’s success.
Waseem Bashir
One more Kashmiri cricketer has joined this list and he is Waseem Bashir. He comes from a village called Mamal in south Kashmir’s Pahalgam district.
He said that the selection of cricketers from Kashmir has given hope and inspiration to the people of the valley.
One thinks if they made it to a bigger screen with their hard work and dedication, why can’t others.
Two Kashmiri cricketers have been called for trials by the KKR camp. One is Bashir and the other is Heman Malik.
The Mumbai Indians have signed up 3 Kashmiri cricketers for trials- Nasir Lone, Abid Mushtaq, and Auqib Nabi.
Lone will be attending the PBKS camp as well in Bangalore.
Abid Mushtaq has been called by two teams for the trials- Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. He can bowl left-arm spin and can contribute handy runs down the order.
He has been consistent in Jammu and Kashmir’s team in all three formats in recent seasons.
According to reports, the IPL Mega Auction is likely to be held in the first week of February.
