The UEFA Champions League is back after a long break and will feature multiple games over mid-week. One of the most anticipated fixtures will feature Manchester City taking on PSG. The game will take place in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium on 25th November. The tie will be a potential decider in the table standings.
Man City will be the host of the game and will look forward for revenge, after losing 0-2 to the French side in the reverse fixture. Pep Guardiola’s team are coming from a 3-0 Premier League victory over Everton. While the Cityzens are currently one point ahead of Les Parisiens in Group A.

On the other hand, PSG will be ready to take on the hosts and go above them at the table. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are also coming from a 3-1 win, but over Nantes. While Les Parisiens will be high on morale after Lionel Messi scored his first Ligue 1 goal.

Manchester City vs PSG: The Cityzens’ team news and injury updates:
The Sky Blues could have a setback in their midfield with Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish expected to miss the game. De Bruyne was reported to be Covid-19 positive before the weekend and will most likely miss the game. On the other hand, Grealish is still recovering from a knock after England’s game and is a major doubt for PSG. Ferran Torres is also out with a long-term injury.
However, Pep is not expected to miss his midfield stars much, after a cruising victory over the Toffees in their absence.
Manchester City Predicted Lineup:
Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; Silva, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Jesus, Foden
PSG vs Manchester City: Les Parisiens’ team news and injury updates:
PSG will have a huge boost with the introduction of Sergio Ramos, who is fit and could make his debut for the French side. However, Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe will be Pochettino’s first CB choices, with the Spaniard assumed to come off the bench. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is expected to miss out due to gastroenteritis.
The Argentine manager would not be worried about the absence of Julian Draxler and Rafinha as neither would have started over Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar.
Paris Saint-Germain Predicted Lineup:
Navas; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Verratti, Gueye, Wijnaldum; Messi, Mbappe, Neymar
Our score predictions: Man City 2-1 PSG
In their last meeting, PSG were lucky to keep a clean sheet. However, luck will not always favour them and Guardiola’s side will go all out for the win. In the face of a probable defeat, Poch’s side will at least manage to net one past Ederson via their ‘trio of danger’- Messi, Mbappe, Neymar.
