Marcus Rashford was left out of the squad for the fourth consecutive game against Wolves. The Englishman finds himself in a very tough situation right now. He’s completely out of favour under Ruben Amorim. He has urged him to become a “leader” of the dressing room at Man United. This is the only way for redemption.
Several fans are contemplating his exit at the moment. He’s in his prime of his career and needs to play to boost his confidence. This situation isn’t helping him at all. The forward has also faced several problems personally recently. Just as the saying goes, “when it rains, it pours.”
Is Man United ready to let go of Rashford?
Marcus Rashford should start thinking about a new challenge already. We know what the 27-year-old is capable of achieving. He has the potential and the talent, but lack of discipline and execution has led him to this situation. The best thing for him to do is find a club where he can play.
Former Man United teammate Scott McTominay did the same thing and now he’s flourishing. However, he must prove himself if he really wants to redeem his career. Just a few seasons back, it seemed as if he’s finally back to his original best. However, his form dropped like a tower of cards.
He should aim for a move to clubs like Newcastle, PSG who would be able to afford his wages. The 27-year old would be able to feature and might be able to pull off a sensational comeback. The atmosphere at United has become cold. Rashford might make a comeback but it’ll be very difficult.
His mentality must be positive at the moment. Rashford has been criticised for not showing enough efforts in training. He must work harder than ever to find himself a spot in the team or even find another club.
Man United in a difficult situation
Manchester United are struggling to cope up with the rivals at the moment. Despite signing a new manager, their situation seems to be worsening every moment. Players aren’t confident and the atmosphere is completely dead. Bruno Fernandes picked up a red card yesterday which led to a collapse against Wolves.
Rashford was left out of the squad yet again. The manager has to be blamed for the situation. The team lacks attacking options and his substitutions have not been upto the mark at all. Wolves are battling relegation, but their spirit and hunger to win was way more than their counterparts.
This team needs a leader who can potentially motivate the players to give their all for the badge. Ending the year with 22 points only is one of the worst possible starts they’ve made to a Premier league season. This is really embarrassing for a club that is accustomed to winning titles.
Ruben Amorim has to work on several factors that are letting them down. The Rashford situation has turned the dressing room completely cold. Things can become worse if they don’t pull themselves up quickly. A huge mountain to climb now for the Red Devils.
Author’s Opinion:
I feel that both the manager and Rashford should sort out their problems immediately. This situation is not helping the club at all. The 27-year-old might not be in his best form, but he is capable of pulling off incredible moments.
The club must make changes in the defence and the goalkeeper. The goals they’re conceding, is not what a top team does. There is no confidence in the team at all. The manager has a lot of work to do. An uphill task for the team to make a comeback now.
