Man United might sell Hojlund in order to sign Osimhen

Man United have been active again in the transfer market searching for a new striker and Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen is one the name on their list and on their radar for few months now.

The 25 year old striker considered as one of the most dangerous striker in today’s world of football, there are clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG who are heavily link to the player other than just Man united. All these clubs wants to sign the player and improve their attack.

Finding a best deal for Osimhen has always been difficult due to the player’s release clause which estimated at £110m in his contract signed with Napoli. But there are some reports that suggest that the italian club has reduced their demand in order to find the perfect and best deal for the player.

Man United is getting eager to sign Osimhen this season

Osimhen with his skills and his goal scoring abilities led Napoli to win their first Serie A title in the last 30 years in 2022/23 season, in that same season he scored 26 goals in 32 matches and in the last season he scored 15 goals in 25 games which showed his caliber and what he can do.

There are several reports that states, Napoli have reduced the asking price from £110m to £85m which can be enough for the big clubs to sign the Nigerian international this season, this price tag has made Man united to bring back their interest in the Nigerian and try to sign him for this season, his presence at United can very beneficial for the club and can help them to get back at their best form.

According to some reports from Italy, It is been confirm that Osimhen is ready to move on and The Red Devils are ready to offer Rasmus Hojlund in exchange and some money to make the move happen. The Red Devils are ready to pay any amount to buy the striker as they need a striker that they can relay on.

In the Last season Hojlund was one of the positives that happened to Man United in the season where everything else was a disaster. He scored 16 goals in 43 games in first season when he moved to United from Atalanta at price of £72m.

Devils might sell Hojlund this season to some profits

But it seems a bit difficult that Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be willing to sell Hojlund after just one season and the season that went good, but there are reports that they have already tried to make a deal offering him in that deal. But the deal did not went through but this does not means that they will not try again to sell him to Napoli.

The Red Devils are looking the idea of parting their ways with Hojlund, so that they can get Osimhen in exchange, and if Napoli refused to take the player then the club will try to sell him to another club in order to generate some money and that money can be used to buy Osimhen. They are ready to put everything on line to sign the Nigerian this season at any cost and they will not him then any other club will buy him and it is a huge possibility that it can be a Premier League club.

Other then the Nigerian, the Red Devils are also keeping an eye on the Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee and they might buy him if the deal between Osimhen and Man united did not goes through, they will go all in for the striker.

PSG and Chelsea are also looking closing as these two clubs have no issue regarding paying the transfer fee as their transfer budget is very huge and can buy the player if the deal with United falls through
