Man United revealed their new home jersey for 2024/25 season. Manchester United had one of their most disappointing season of all time. This season was full of drama and chaos for all the club, manager and especially the players. At the end of the season they recorded their lowest ever position in the Premier league era after they ended 8th. Man United ended crashing out of their group stage in the champions league. They will also end up missing out on European football completly next season. Manchester United fans throughout the season blame this failure on many reasons. Man United manager Erik Ten Hag was also criticized throughout the campaign all over the world. Man United fans still showed support for the manager and as it looks the club have also decided to back the Dutch manager for the next season. Things did not look good at all.
Manchester United also ended up losing the Carabao cup this season. Man United was eliminated by Newcastle United in the fourth round after a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford. They managed to get only 60 points by the end of the season. They also managed to win only 18 games this season. The most humiliating fact was they only managed to score 57 goals and conceded 58. This goal difference was one of the worst in history of the club. The things get even worse when their city rivals Manchester City ended up winning the Premier league yet again this season. However one of the most unexpected things happened after Manchester United managed to beat Manchester City in one of the most important matches of the season. Manchester United beat Manchester City in the FA cup final to win their only trophy of the season. This was a good sign.
Redemption expected in Man United new season
Now Manchester United will be aiming for big things next season. They already started injecting the freshness before the season. Manchester United revealed their new kit for the next season and its already getting positive reactions all over the world. Youngsters Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo took centre stage in the kit release photo shoot as they prepare for next season. All the youngsters are currently on the international duty and will soon be back with the club for the pre season. The club are having high expectations from the youngsters after many senior players may be leaving the club this summer. Casemiro, Varane, Sancho are some of the names that can be leaving the Red Devils this summer. Erik Ten Hag will surely hope to improve his squad for the next season after this summer is over.
Manchester United also have their new home kit ready before the pre season. The new home shirt has two shades of red in a gradient design with a white trim and takes inspiration from a shirt worn by the Busby Babes in 1952. It is also expected that this jersey will provide players with a tactical advantage due to its reflective nature. The kit is finished off by traditional white shorts and black socks. Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at adidas, said: “The colour red is consistently fundamental to the club’s DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and, for 2024/25, we wanted to do something a bit different.
