Man United are reportedly set to hand new contracts to Jesse Lingard, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw soon.

Lingard and Pogba are both into the final year of their contracts at Old Trafford which run out next June. Lingard was firmly connected with a move away from Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

The 28-year old spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, but remained in Manchester this season beyond the transfer deadline. He has scored twice this season, including the winner against West Ham on Sunday.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have been in talks with Lingard for weeks over an extension. The Italian journalist also reports that the club are working over new deals for Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw as well – All part of a ‘contracts list’ at Man United.

New contracts for three starting XI players at Man United

Paul Pogba is out of contract in June 2022 and United offered him a new deal weeks ago. An agreement is yet to be reached between club and player, and no final decision has been made on the midfielder’s future as of now.

Fernandes’s existing deal with the Reds is not due to expire until the end of the 2024-25 season. However, United want to reward the Portuguese a pay rise due to his form since arriving from Sporting Lisbon.

Shaw, meanwhile, will be out of contract in June 2023. The 26-year-old appears to have finally overcome his injury problems and has become a key player for the club. United want to offer the England international a new contract to extend his stay at Old Trafford, and continue to be a pivotal part of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side.
