According to Hammer News, Manchester City situation with Lucas Paqueta is getting more complicated currently. West Ham United player Lucas Paqueta is linked with a move to Manchester City for a very long time now. West Ham United already have enough problems at their disposal currently. The club recently sacked their manager David Moyes and bring in Julen Lopetegui. This was a very big decision as David Moyes is the only manager who bring West Ham United their only silverware in recent times. The criticism of David Moyes is still not understandable by many football fans all around the world. The main reason of criticism was his style of play did not match the “quality” of Premier League. Signing Julen Lopetegui was a very big decision by the club. Lopetegui’s last tenure in the English football was a roller coaster ride both for the manager and the fans.
Lopetegui was the Wolves manager where he performed a miracle to save the team from relegation. After his amazing six months tenure he unexpectedly decided to leave the club. The reason for his resignation are some internal disputes between the manager and the club’s management. According to some sources Lopetegui wanted to make some signings to keep the squad competitive enough for the next season. However the club did not make any signings that were wanted by the manager. Moreover the club ended up making some cost ineffective transfer which were not enough for the manager to work with. According to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) the club will need to make some players sales before signing any new players in the transfer window. This ruled made Wolves sell alot of their players as well and their proper replacements were not signed by the club.
Lucas Paqueta and Manchester City situation may have collapsed
West Ham United squad was facing another major problem last season. Most of their players were injured for majority of the season. However this situation was common among many top Premier League clubs as well. Clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City also faced the same situation. Lopetegui came to West Ham United with the hope of signing new players to keep the club competitive for the new season. West Ham United recently have a new breakout star in their squad Mohammed Kudus. His great skills and electrifying pace on the wing has turned him into a great prospect for the London club. Majority of hopes for West Ham transfer business was dependent on the sale of Lucas Paqueta. The Brazilian midfielder has been world class in his position for quite some time now. He is linked with various clubs and West Ham are ready to sell.
However Lucas Paqueta was recently stuck in betting allegations from UEFA. His allegations stated him getting 2 yellow cards which he intentionally did. Now that the Manchester City move is looking unlikely and Paqueta is in danger of getting a long term ban. The smartest move for West Ham will be to sell the player. Many Saudi clubs are interested in signing the Brazilian which can help reduce the danger of ban. However reports say Paqueta is very close to signing for Flamengo. Although it will be a loan deal Paqueta is still a player with too much potential. The final decision will be made by West Ham United.
