Manchester United Forward Marcus Rashford injury updates

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has conformed that he is fully free of injury. After completing the long rehabilitation process. Rahsford underwent shoulder surgery in the summer following the conclusion of the Euros 2020.

Rashford has also said that he is now in a much better place physically and mentally than last season. After having played most of last season with the shoulder injury, he had been carrying ever since September 2020.

Despite being injured, he still made 57 appearances last season and even featured at Euro 2020 for England. Scoring 21 goals and creating 15 assists last season. But the performances towards the end of the season were quite below par.

The season end was quite disappointing as Rashford saw his team lose to Villareal in the Europa League final. And then he lost the Euro final against Italy. Since making the return to contact training he has scored a brace in behind closed doors friendly against Blackburn Rovers.

“My recovery is I wouldn’t say coming to an end because obviously I have to keep looking after it but I’m in a much better place physically and mentally,” .”Last year was a very long season for me. I got this injury at the end of September and gradually it got that little bit worse. “But now I’m fully free of that, I feel much better physically and mentally,”. Rashford said in a recent interview.

Manchester United have had a sub-par season so far. Losing to Aston Villa, West Ham and Young Boys in different competitions. While the recent draw against Everton brought more fury to the United fans. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping Rashford can provide what has been missing in the United squad so far this season.

Marcus Rashford in contention to feature for Manchester United againt Leicester

Since making the step up from the United academy, he has scored 88 goals and 56 assists from 271 games. He is expected to be in contention to feature in United’s clash against Leicester City.

Rashford also talked about getting to play with his favourite player Cristiano Ronaldo. “That’s a great feeling for me, as a player, but also as a fan of the club as well. “It’s always nice when a club legend finds a way back to the club. To be playing with him back at Old Trafford is a terrific feeling and hopefully gives us a push to start winning more trophies.”
