Manchester United is on high alert as PSG considers parting ways with their 22-year-old star

Goncalo Ramos, a striker for Paris Saint-Germain, is reportedly having his future assessed. The Portugal international is being watched closely at PSG after joining the French league club on a permanent basis from Benfica.

Man United is closely watching the situation because of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s newfound financial support and the club’s need to sign a new striker.

The 22-year-old striker initially arrived at PSG during the previous summer on loan. The deal was designe to satisfy Financial Fair Play requirements and included a mandatory purchase clause.

Although Ramos was a target for United, PSG pays £69 million to acquire him in November, sealing the deal.

Despite the high expectations, there have been concerns about the player’s performance at PSG.

PSG may agree to let 22-year old star leave the club

The Mirror reports that Luis Enrique, the manager of PSG, is not totally sure about the Portuguese star, according to the French publication L’Equipe. After Ramos only managed four goals in 19 games this season, the French champions might consider trading for him.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a British billionaire, supports Manchester United and wants to strengthen their attack.

Rasmus Hojlund, a summer acquisition for the team, has fallen short of expectations thus far this year. Only two Premier League goals have been score by the 20-year-old striker this season.

The Red Devils are extremely concerned about his Premier League play, despite his impressive performances in the Champions League.

If PSG agrees to haggle for Ramos, United might have a chance to bolster their squad.

Given the state of the transfer market, Erik ten Hag’s team might be in a strong position to sign the 22-year-old.
