THE MANCHESTER UNITED-OUSMANE DEMBELE LINKS STORY

United were interested in signing Ousmane Dembele for a long time. The Frenchman seems again in the focus. Some reports claim Manchester United held talks for the French winger from Barcelona in January. United was quoted a 20 million fee for the player and just like that deal was off. The former Rennes star’s contract at Camp Nou will expire on 30th June and the player is expected to leave on a free transfer. Now many reports are claiming that the Old Trafford unit is trying to convince the player to join the club. According to a Spanish outlet, Erik Ten Hag wants Dembele to sign and join the likes of Ronaldo and Sancho in the attack next season. Man Utd has made contact with the player’s agent Moussa Sissoko. They have reportedly put a blank cheque on the player’s table.

IS A NEW TWIST EXPECTED IN THE DEMBELE SAGA?

The 25-year-old winger is not tempted by the offer, therefore a new twist is not expected. The player wants only the Champions League football teams. Anyway, United are playing Europa League next season. Also, the report says the player wants to move back to France to join PSG. PSG are ready to offer Dembele more than his current wages i.e. £330,000 a week. The winger has been injury-prone since moving to Spain. Although he excelled under the new Barca Manager Xavi. TheWorld Cup Champion can play multiple offensive positions. He provided 13 assists in 21 appearances to help Barcelona to earn CL qualification. Multiple contracts were offered by Barca to extend but he refused to sign. Chelsea are also said to be interested in Dembele

If Manchester United want to sign the World Champion, they might have to pay more than what they are paying at PSG. Other than that there is no chance Dembele signs for Red Devils.
