Manchester United may get lucky as key players set to return

Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag, might face a favorable situation as he readies for Sunday’s crucial match against Arsenal. He could see the return of six injured players, timely for the encounter with Mikel Arteta’s team.

After their 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace, United aims for a quick rebound. With pressure rising, they aim to upset Arsenal, who compete fiercely with Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Arsenal sits one point ahead of City in the table. However, they might drop to second place if City wins their Saturday match against Fulham, moving two points ahead.

Manchester United manager had a tough season throughout

The comeback of essential players will surely lift Ten Hag’s spirits, especially after his worries about the team’s injury crisis before the loss to the Eagles. Reflecting on the unprecedented injury challenges, Ten Hag admitted, “In over 10 years of managing, I’ve never encountered this. So huge, so many injury issues, so I trust all my experience, it can happen once in 10 years. Hopefully now I have to wait another 10 to have so many injuries to deal with.”

Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez are back on the training field. Their manager is optimistic about their return before the season ends. With their positive progress, they might feature in the squad against Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford continues to recover from an injury picked up in United’s FA Cup semi-final win against Coventry City. Although he missed training ahead of the Palace match, given United’s injury situation, Rashford could return earlier than anticipated.
