The international break is nearly over, and Premier League will be back with Matchday 12. Following this, Manchester United travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford on Saturday in their next league fixture. Let’s have a look at the team news for Manchester United players for the clash against Watford.

Manchester United have won only one of their last four matches in the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side currently sits sixth in the Premier League table with 17 points, having won just 5 out of their 11 fixtures in the league so far.

Manchester United fans are starting to turn on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the results have been nothing short of disappointing. Solskjaer came really close to fracking the sack after the embarrassing 5-0 defeat against Liverpool. However, he was given more time by the United hierarchy to improve the results.

Watford have a horrible record against Manchester United. They have lost 12 of their 14 matches against Manchester United in the Premier League. Watford have not lost more games against any other opposition. Ole Solskjaer would certainly be hoping to end the bad run of form against Watford and continue the impressive record against the Hornets.

Manchester United team news: Injuries and suspensions

Raphael Varane

Since his move to Old Trafford, Raphael Varane has had his fair share of injury woes. The French world cup winner picked up another hamstring injury in the Champions League clash against Atalanta. He is not expected to be back until the first week of December and is ruled out of the clash against Watford.

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba picked up a thigh injury during a training session with France and is expected to be out for at least 4-6 weeks. Even if Pogba was available he is still serving his three-game ban for his reckless tackle against Liverpool.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw was taken off during the final minutes of the game against Manchester City due to a concussion. Shaw was called up to the England national team but missed both the games for his nation and he remains a minor doubt for the game.

Edinson Cavani

Edinson Cavani is a major doubt for the Watford clash. Cavani missed the recent Uruguay fixtures due to a tendon injury and is very unlikely to be risked for the fixture.

Scott McTominay

Scott McTominay missed out on the Scotland world cup qualifiers due to an illness. He has since then joined the Manchester United training on Monday. But he still remains a minor doubt for the game but should be available to feature off the bench.

Game time for Van de Beek and Jesse Lingard

With the injuries in the middle of the park for Manchester United. Donny van de Beek will certainly be hoping for a start and to show his qualities and guarantee some much-needed game time. While left-back Alex Telles came on for Luke Shaw late in the game against Manchester City and will be hoping for a start ahead of Shaw.

Marcus Rashford also missed the England call-up as he stayed with United to focus on his return to full fitness. With Edinson Cavani also a major doubt, Jesse Lingard will be hoping for some game time in the Watford clash.
