The war between Manchester United head coach Eric Ten Hag and team winger Jadon Sancho has finally come to an end. The Red Devils recently posted an Instagram post where it is visible that Ten Hag is working with Jadon Sancho at the United training ground. Both of them agreed to work together and wanted to give their best for the Red Devils.
Eric Ten Hag vs Jadon Sancho
Last season, Eric Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho had a war over Sancho’s performance with Manchester United. So, in September last year, Ten Hag excluded Sancho from the main team after stating that Sancho performed very badly in training. According to Associated Press News, even United boss Eric Ten Hag commented on Sancho’s performance and said,
“You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United, and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game, he was not selected.”
Sancho answered on X and said that he had been a scapegoat for a long time, which was not fair.
Thus, a war was started between them, and it continued, Sancho ultimately left Manchester United to join Dortmund on a loan spell.
As last season these two had a problem with each other, it seems likely that the war will continue this year, and some Manchester United fans also believe that Jadon Sancho could leave Manchester United this summer. But as things stand, Jadon Sancho is doing well under Ten Hag. The Dutch boss also wants to forget the past and work together for the betterment of Manchester United, and add more trophies to the trophy cabinet.
The Manchester United boss already made clear all the controversy going on about Sancho’s future at Old Trafford with Ten Hag and said,
“As we said, we draw the line. Manchester United need good players, and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line, and we move on.”
Performance of Jadon Sancho after leaving Manchester United last season
Jadon Sancho only played three games for Manchester United last season and eventually left the club to join his former club German side Borussia Dortmund on a loan spell. After appearing only 3 games for the Red Devils, Sancho appeared 21 times for Dortmund, scored 3 goals, and assisted twice in all competitions.
Jadon Sancho particularly performed brilliantly in the Champions League and helped Borussia Dortmund reach the final for the first time since 2012/13. But the same as last time, Dortmund failed to emerge victorious and lost to Real Madrid. Well, Sancho’s performance in the Champions League was outstanding. Manchester United fans are hoping for the same form as Jadon Sancho in the upcoming Premier League season.
