Martin Zubimendi is now heavily linked with Arsenal

Arsenal are now reportedly going all in for the Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi. A move this summer is on the cards for the north London side.

Martin Zubimendi very close to joining Arsenal

As per Spanish media, Martin Zubimendi is closer to join Arsenal. They are reportedly sure that they can sign the midfield player. And they are certain that a potential move to Real Madrid is unlikely to happen. And now Liverpool are also in race for the player.

Martin was nearly the Arne Slot’s first signing last summer. The Reds made the decision to trigger his €60m (£50.1m, $64.8m) release clause.

A great deal was offered for the 26-year-old as per reports. But he decided to stay in La Liga. Liverpool want to take the Spain international to Anfield. But Mikel Arteta’s side will be hoping to get his signature.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are also in the race

Mikel Arteta’s long hunt for Zubimendi will end with his signing. The Gunners manager has also signed Merino from Sociedad last summer. The Sociedad player is might team up with Merino at Emirates Stadium for the 2025–2026 season.

For several reasons, the Spanish midfielder seems to have selected the Gunners to join over either Real Madrid or Liverpool.

First of all, Zubimendi isn’t being told he would start at Anfield. And they are not looking for his signing only. They will also look for a new left-back this summer.

Transfer correspondent, Rudy Galetti, has also confirmed Arsenal’s desire to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. While they are also keen on Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth.

Arteta as is eager to add a new winger to his mix. In addition, the north London side will increase their efforts for Viktor Gyokeres as per few Portuguese reports.
