Mathys Tel available to Chelsea for £40m

Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel is available for £40 million and Chelsea are interested in the player.

Mathys Tel To Stamford Bridge

The Blues are looking to sign Bayern Munich‘s Mathys Tel. They have been interested in him since very long. The youngster is turning heads in Europe for his immense talent. They might offload another player. He is currently valued at £40 million.

As per reports, Chelsea have made an inquiry for the teenager. They also tried to sign him last summer. They have followed up their desire with a further inquiry this January.

The 19-year-old is viewed as one of the skilled young forwards in the European stage. He may be valued more than £40 million.

Interestingly, Bayern are also tracking Christopher Nkunku’s situation. Although, no swap deal has been mentioned or discussed by any of the clubs. It has claimed that Nkunku would be happy to join the German giants if there’s an opportunity available.

The London side has strong interest in Tel. They are expected to be ready to make an official move for the youngster. They are waiting for Bayern Munich’s green signal for their player’s move.

The France U-21 has had limited game time this season under manager Vincent Kompany. He may get his regular minutes in England. The more game time opportunity may convince him for the move.

Bayern’s Take on Mathys Tel move

Earlier this month, the Frenchman was keen to stay in Germany after rumours of Chelsea links. But it appears to be a change of heart from the forward amid lack of playing time. Also with a big club keeping tabs, he may think of accepting a new challenge, as per reports by the Daily Mail.

As per Football transfers expert Florian Plettenberg, the limited amount of playing time will surely influence Tel’s decision. Vincent Kompany’s side have given him zero minutes in the last three games. He has been getting very few minutes in the recent games in the Bundesliga.

He has expressed to stay in the Bundesliga. But if he receives the same treatment in the upcoming games, he might change his stance. His present deal is runs until 2029.

The France international has played 82 games for the German side until now. In those games. he scored 16 goals and provided seven assists for the giants.

He left Ligue 1 side Rennes for the German club in 2022.

In the meantime, Kompony’s side are eyeing Christopher Nkunku’s move this month.

As of time, some reports suggested that Vincent’s club have not thinking of a swap deal involving Tel and Nkunku. Their sporting director Christoph Freund is keen on keeping Mathys Tel in his team.

Earlier this month on the same, he said: ” He is a very important player for us.

“He’s a great talent and should play an important role for us. Our clear goal is for him to make his breakthrough with us.”

More players on the transfer list

The West London club is looking for centre-backs this month. They are keen to add some strength to their defensive ranks.

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is on the top in the list of CB’s.

With Mathys, they are also looking at other options as well. Ipswich Town’s forward Liam Delap is on their list.
