Max Verstappen and Lando Norris party together in Monaco

Max Verstappen was spotted celebrating his second Drivers’ World Championship as he partied hard with his F1 colleague and friend Lando Norris in Monaco, who was behind the DJ booth.

Norris is well known for enjoying music and has been seen fiddling around on the mixing table, as the Quadrant founder may consider a side gig as a DJ.

The young Briton and Verstappen are often seen partying together. The two Monaco residents are close friends in both real-life and virtual paddock as both are members of the same sim-racing team.

Before creating Quadrant, Norris’ gaming and lifestyle company, the two were teammates at Team Redline, and they jointly won the 2019 virtual Spa 24 Hours.

Since the founding of Quadrant, Norris has, obviously, preferred to compete for his own team instead.

The duo’s friendship was put in doubt at the Japanese Grand Prix before Verstappen claimed his second successive title.

Norris was pushed onto the grass in Q3 at Suzuka at the dangerous 130R when Verstappen appeared to have obstructed the British driver.

The McLaren youngster was clearly furious with his friend, who he had to accompany to the stewards’ room as the incident was being investigated.

However, the Dutchman got away with only a reprimand.

He kept his pole position as a result of the reprimand and went on to dominate the race. He etched his name in the history books as a two-time World Champion alongside the greats such as Fernando Alonso, Mika Hakkinen, Emerson Fittipaldi, Jim Clark, Graham Hill, and Alberto Ascari.

This was the 25-year-old’s 12th win of the season as he inches closer to that record of 13 wins in a season, jointly set by Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel. The Dutchman has a good chance of breaking that record with four races still to go.

Verstappen’s victory in Suzuka saw him match Alonso for the most race victories with 32, with the ruthless Red Bull driver poised to surpass that total with ease.
