Red Bull ace, Max Verstappen said that he’d love to be a parent one day after spending time with Kelly Piquet’s daughter and his sister Victoria’s sons.

Piquet’s daughter is named Penelope while Victoria has two boys, Luka and Lio. Therefore, Max has surely gained a lot of babysitting experience over the past few years.

The Dutch prodigy was a child himself when he burst on the F1 scene in 2015 at the tender age of 17. But even then, he had a sense of maturity that was beyond his years.

He became the youngest winner in racing history when he won the Spanish Grand Prix in 2016 on his Red Bull debut. Since then, he has won 30 more races and has bagged a world championship.

Verstappen has been in ominous form since 2022. He has won five races on the trot and has one hand on the championship. Wrapping up the title at the upcoming race in Singapore is hard, but there is surely a chance that his title celebrations take place in Japan.

The fans have witnessed Verstappen’s meteoric rise in the world of Formula 1 from a teenager to an adult, and he currently has a contract with Red Bull that sees him be with the team till the age of 31.

Verstappen is unsure what lies ahead after 2028 when the deal is up. He may retire, or even make a surprise move to Ferrari.

“Never say never, but now I have a contract with Red Bull until 2028.

I’m fine here, let’s see what happens after 2028. Maybe I’ll have already retired,”

Verstappen would like to be a father one day

In terms of his personal life, the time spent with his stepdaughter and nephews has persuaded Verstappen that he would like to be a parent in the future.

“Yes, I see myself as dad, one day.”

“It’s wonderful to have my sister’s around: the older one runs everywhere, the other still nine months old. Victoria doesn’t stand still for a second.”

Verstappen won the Italian Grand Prix last weekend to earn his 11th victory of the year and increased his lead in the Drivers’ Standings to 116 points.
