Mayank Agarwal doing his best to get back in the Indian white-ball squad

India opener Mayank Agarwal has become out of focus from the BCCI’s radar as of late. But, all of this is not letting Mayank’s performance get affected.

He is now trying to play as many white-ball games in the domestic circuit as possible.

In the ongoing Maharaja T20 Trophy, Mayank has been scoring at a pretty brisk rate and has even notched up two tons.

Moreover, the opener has opened up his playing avenues a bit more and is now sweeping and reverse-sweeping pacers.

Mayank explained all of this in the post-match press conference and even in interviews given to various sports websites.

The opener has said that in the past four months he has been doing really well which is now paying rich dividends for him.

Mayank’s two tons came against Shivamogga Strikers and Gulbarga Mystics off 48 and 58 balls respectively.

This year in the IPL, Mayank did not have a good run with the bat for Punjab Kings.

Additionally, he was also leading the side after the exit of KL Rahul to Lucknow Super Giants.

Surprisingly, Mayank has not played a single international T20I for India whenever he has been picked in the squad.

To his credit, Mayank has only 21 Tests and 5 ODIs for the country but he hopes to play a T20I international for India someday.

Mayank has clearly stated that he’s not going to give up the fight even though the selectors may continue to disregard him.
