The young talent of Mumbai Indians now sparked up in Domestic limited over cricket. Today Jharkhand kicked off their Vijay Hazare Trophy journey with a memorable win. The Jharkhand skipper Ishan Kishan has scored 173 runs facing just 94 balls. With the help of this performance, he is looking to seal his place in the playing XI of Mumbai Indians. Kishan has been called up for the T20 squad against England Today.

Last season he was unfit in the beginning as MI had started with Saurabh Tiwary replacing him. With Tiwary showing some promising innings, it was difficult for Kishan to come into the team. But as Tiwary failed in later stages Kishan grabbed the opportunity and showed his class. Both with the bat and fielding Ishan Kishan is a gem of the Mumbai Indians Team.

Alongside Ishan Kishan, another Mumbai Indians start Suryakumar Yadav has been selected for the National team for T20 fixtures against England.

Jharkhand vs Madhya Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy:

Jharkhand won by 324 runs defeating Madhya Pradesh in their opening Game at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.  Madhya Pradesh won the toss and elected to bowl first. Jharkhand have scored 422 runs losing 9 wickets in the first innings. It is the highest ever total in 50 over domestic cricket in India. Kishan smashed 19 fours and 11 sixes in his innings. Besides him, another MI cricketer Anukul Roy scored 72 runs in 39 balls.

The Madhya Pradesh Batting line-up was destroyed by Varun Aaron. He took 6 wickets conceding only 37 runs. Madhya Pradesh’s innings closed down at 98 runs in 18.4 overs.

Besides impressing everyone with the bat MI wicket-keeper also set a record today. By taking seven catches behind the stumps he puts his name in the record book as the most catch taking wicket-keeper in a match in the List-A history.
