Michael Hussey and David Saker join team England as coach

Former Australian batter and legend Michael Hussey and victorian David Saker have come together and have joined England. They will be a part of the coaching staff for the upcoming T20 WORLD CUP that starts next month.

Michael Hussey is currently associated with IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings as the batting coach. However, on another side, Saker has been a part of England’s coaching staff in the year 2010 to 2015. Both have been recruited by Matthew Mott. Mott is the current white ball coach of the English team.

Saker will be in touch with the squad as they go on to play with Pakistan. The team players a T20I series which starts next week. While, on the other hand, Hussey will join the team when they meet and assemble in Australia to play a few matches before they start their campaign at the world cup. The England team will start their campaign in the T20 world cup against Afghanistan on October 22. In the statement released by the England and Wales cricket board, they said

“England Men’s white-ball Head Coach Matthew Mott has enlisted the support of former England bowling coach David Saker and Chennai Super Kings batting coach and former Australian international Michael Hussey for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in October and November, Saker, England Men’s bowling coach from 2010 to 2015, will join the tourists in Pakistan for the seven-match tour preceding the World Cup. Hussey, 47, who had a stellar career as a middle-order batsman for Australia in all three formats, will join the England set-up for the World Cup.”
