Mick Schumacher seems to be in a ‘hot seat’ as the future of the German in Formula 1 seems to be uncertain.
The ‘silly season’ is having its toll on everyone as teams make up their line-up for the coming season.
So far, multiple drivers have shifted teams and teams have announced driver line-ups that seem to be ‘contradicting’
Nevertheless, the future of Haas driver Mick Schumacher seems uncertain.
A German Newspaper has claimed that Mick Schumacher might be moving out of F1 after 2022.
4-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel retirement news meant a vacant seat at Aston Martin. The 35-year-old wanted Mick to race at his place from 2023.
However, Lawrence Stroll had other plans as the billionaire signed the 2-time World Champion Fernando Alonso alongside his son Lance Stroll.
This puts a question on Mick’s future as the German is not getting a promising response from his current team Haas.
The relationship between the two is not ideally ‘perfect’ as Haas boss Gunther Steiner has publicly criticized Schumacher in the past.
Another major issue with Schumacher is the fact that he might be losing the support of Ferrari Boss Mattia Binotto as Mick is the leading driver of Ferrari Academy.
Williams also doesn’t look like an option for Mick. Williams has already signed Albon and are expected to replace Latifi. However, Schumacher is definitely not the first choice for the replacement.
Williams have Mercedes Academy driver Nyck de Vries in line alongside emerging American star Logan Sargeant.
This is leaving Mick Schumacher with considerably fewer options and an uncertain future in F1.
Although, the German had some impressive performances in the last few races. He also scored his first points this season. The 22-year-old is definitely getting better but will Haas consider it?
