Mikel Arteta calls up youngster Jack Henry Francis. He has been called up due to injuries that have been happening around Arsenal. The Gunners need to bounce back after two bad results. They went 2-0 up against both Liverpool and West Ham away from home. But only managed draws in both games.

Arsenal youngster being called up by Arteta for future games

The Gunners have one of the youngest sides in Europe and are still on top of the Premier League table. That makes their achievement so far absolutely incredible.

We see a number of youngsters called up to first-team training sessions to gain some experience every week. This time, it’s young Henry-Francis who caught our eye in Arsenal’s Inside Training video.

The youngster is described as an ‘aggressive and tenacious‘ tackler on Arsenal’s official website. He has come through the ranks at the Gunners’ prestigious youth academy at Hale End.

Henry-Francis is unlikely to get a game at senior level in the remainder of this campaign. But he could get a chance to show his quality in pre-season.

What does the future hold for Henry Francis

Mikel Arteta and everyone at Emirates have shown they aren’t afraid to give young players an opportunity if they deserve it. The likes of Saka and Martinelli have become absolute stars today and they’re both less than two years older than Henry-Francis.

He joined the club when he was just 12 years old and has been an excellent player at youth level regularly. But he’s yet to get an opportunity in the senior setup.

It will be interesting to see if Henry-Francis will play in Arsenal’s team in the pre-season this summer.

Arteta now has a well organised team infront of him. It will be hard for them to integrate more youngsters into this team. If it was 2-3 years ago then it would have been possible.
