Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar is linked to Liverpool over a move in the January transfer window. Skriniar’s contract is set to expire in the summer. Liverpool struggling for defensive form
This season, Liverpool has already conceded 25 goals after just 19 games which reflects on their league standing. Liverpool’s defense lacks the ruthlessness of previous seasons. A new signing could help to rejuvenate the defense and Skriniar is available for 20 million euros (£ 17.5 million) this month. Skriniar is an experienced head who could help shore up the defense of Liverpool. He has ample international experience as well. Skriniar has made 54 appearances for the Slovakian National team.

Liverpool lost Virgil Van Dijk to injury against Brentford last month. Van Dijk is out for a substantial time. Thus signing Milan Skriniar for a fee as low as quoted could prove to be a smart business. This could salvage the current Liverpool season. Liverpool has a UEFA Champions League tie against Real Madrid coming. The experience and skills of Skriniar could prove helpful to overcome the challenge of Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
