Mohammed Siraj, Six Sports

Mohammad Siraj is currently playing his first season of the County Championship in England. He is selected by Warwickshire. Siraj is playing his first match for his team against Somerset. Mohammad Siraj bamboozles the opposition batsman Imam-ul-Haq with his superb bowling.

Mohammad Siraj impressed with his bowling

Siraj started the match with his bowling spell. He bowled the first 10 overs well. He brought the first breakthrough for his team by taking the wicket of Somerset opener. Siraj took the advantage of the new ball and the batsman had no clue about his moving ball. Eventually, he ended up giving his wicket to the wicketkeeper. Siraj is improving a lot and wants to maintain his consistency. His efforts are proof of that.

Siraj said,

“In West Indies and England also I bowled well, my rhythm was good in the first match as well, so my plan was to hit an area consistently without worrying whether I will get wickets or not. I just kept belief on myself, because ups and downs are part of everyone’s life, so I just kept belief that I can do it no matter if it is a white ball or red ball. So just wanted to keep hitting the right areas and bowl dot balls to build up pressure on the opposition. Starting with the new ball, I went for wickets a few times but as you know white ball doesn’t swing much, so I was planning to consistently hit one area and bowl maiden overs.”

Mohammad Siraj stats as a test player

Siraj has played 13 matches in test format. He has 3 four-wicket hauls and 1 five-wicket haul. In total, he made 40 wickets under his name. He averages 30 and has an economy of 3.31 in test matches. He is a great prospect in test format for India.
