Crystal Palace wants to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea as a win-win transfer. This can benefit both of the teams.
THE EAGLES NEEDS A BALANCED PLAYER
With an initial cost of £62 million, Mudryk was signed by Shakhtar Donetsk in the winter of last year.
Crystal Palace is in a horrible condition in the Premier League. Mudryk has scored only nine goals and provided nine assists for the Blues.
As per the latest report from FootballTransfers, Mudryk could be on the move within London in the upcoming January window.
Crystal Palace’s condition needs to be looked upon. Only bottom-placed Southampton have scored fewer goals than Palace. Oliver Gasner’s side is lacking a spark in attack.
Furthermore, a loan spell would benefit Chelsea by giving Mudryk the regular minutes he needs.
He can be benefitted if he gets his time. The fact that Mudryk would remain in the country, given that the opportunities will be waiting for him.
The Ukraine international has been entrusted that he has potential. A good loan can be his good start. The situation can be a win-win if everything goes well.
This can be a lifeline for his career. Crystal Palace can use a player like him. He has been signed by Chelsea in January 2023 for a substantial €70 million upfront fee.
His form might have been inconsistent, but his potential is often overlooked by other talents like Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, and Jadon Sancho.
Sending the 23-year-old on loan across London is their long-term plan to see him flourish. He has to adapt to certain situations in the league. The transition from Ukraine to the Premier League is not only challenging. It can be a nightmare for him.
So, staying in London can offer him stability and a familiar environment.
MYKHAILO MUDRYK MIGHT BE USEFUL FOR PALACE
Crystal Palace have been searching for an attacking player all season. He has scored only eight goals. This is disappointing for him in the league.
The Eagles have lacked defensive force since the departure of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Mudryk can be advantageous with his pace, and creativity. He can bring a new dynamic to the Palace’s forward line.
His set might closely be similar to Olise’s. So, it will be useful for the team. It can be a direct threat and open up space for fellow forwards.
Chelsea can benefit from this transfer. The Blues have invested heavily in almost everything. A winger could be of help to Palace. This would eventually help them regain their position in the squad.
The aim for Mudryk is to grow stronger, more confident, and better adaptable to the league. This is proving Palace’s plan in place ahead of the January transfer window. It will provide them with an opportunity to strengthen it.
They aim to build their defense here. So, they have an eye on a few defenders. The Eagles are showing great interest in Elfsborg defender Terry Yegbe.
But, primarily, they are mainly focused on the Ukrainian player. He joined the Blues last year as an exciting prospect. But he was disappointing in maintaining the form in the entire season.
Mykhailo Mudryk had a disappointing 2023/24 season, with only five goals. Moreover, he was not even included in the starting XI all the time. This season hasn’t been any better for him so far.
Luckily for Mudryk, Steve Parish has been pursuing a winger. He regarded Mudryk as a game-changer like Wilfred Zaha at Selhurst Park.
Mudryk has shown a glimpse of what he is capable of. Eventually, Parish will find a situation that will help him progress in his career.
