Life has not been very kind for Mykhailo Mudryk in his Chelsea days. The 23-year-old forward joined the Blues in January 2023. As per wikipedia, the London-based club would pay an initial fee of €70 million for the winger. Since joining he hasn’t really gone on to blossom as many thought he would. In his 73 appearances for the club, he has gone on to score merely 10 goals. At the same time, he has not been able to break into the starting XI regularly. Although many thought that he was finally on the right track. But the recent update could suggest otherwise.
Mykhailo Mudryk out for Chelsea amid doping allegations
As per the norms, every player has to regularly undergo a check-up so as to ensure no performance-enhancement drugs are being used. Following a recent test, the Football Association (FA) would suspend Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk. They would go on to reveal an ‘adverse finding‘ of a banned substance in his urine test. As per goal, the 23-year-old winger is now risking a 4-year ban. This could very much end up compromising his promising career. Hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be anything too severe. But, as of now, the forward looks to be in deep trouble.
What happened next?
The 23-year-old star would go on to make a statement following the results. He would clarify that he has never knowingly made use of any such substances or broken any rules. At the same time, he remains hopeful of being back on the pitch. Chelsea fans have gone on to extend their support to Mykhailo Mudryk. Everyone is willing him on to make a comeback. It will be interesting to see when he plays next. As of now, he won’t be playing anytime soon for the Blues.
