Danny Murphy, a former Liverpool player believes that Chelsea should replace N’ Golo Kante with Declan Rice. Chelsea are also interested in signing a West Ham midfielder.

Kante is currently injured and out for the rest of 2022, his contract also runs out next summer. Chelsea holds an interest to extend his contract if somehow Kante doesn’t agree to extend. They’ll be ready to go for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy gave his opinion while talking to talkSPORT he said:

“There’s a simple solution for Chelsea moving forward, looking to the future, which is you’ve got one of the best holding players in Declan Rice. He loves Chelsea. He’s the one to take his role. He’s capable and would be there for the rest of his career. They’ll have to bite the bullet and pay whatever it is. That’s the solution to replace Kante.”

Declan Rice would be a perfect replacement for Kante

Decla Rice has already been a part of Chelsea’s youth system before he was released from blues in 2013. Declan Rice is considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He’s an undisputed starter for both club and country.

The 23-year-old contract expires in 2024. Being one of the best players for the Hammers, they would ask a hefty price from the Blues. They’re desperately looking for a replacement for Frenchman.

Although Declan’s natural position is Defensive midfielder, he can play multiple positions. He can play Attacking midfielder and in defence also which makes him a versatile player just like N’Golo Kante.
