Nahuel Molina have caught Chelsea’s interest after the World Cup win

Nahuel Molina have allegedly been identified by Chelsea as a potential winter transfer. Nahuel Molina have now emerged as a new transfer target for the Blues. The Blues have already had a busy World Cup break. As they had already signed David Datro Fofana and have deals placed for Andrey Santos and Benoit Badiashile. Furthermore, all this was done by them even before the transfer window started. Enzo Fernandez have gained interest from Chelsea after his wonderful World Cup performance. But given to the injury issue with Reece James, Chelsea would be looking to bring in a new right back. However Cesar Azpilicueta is now commanding the position, but he is in no way close to the abilities that Reece James holds. It is mostly due to his age. Chelsea are considering signing a new young right-back this window.

Nahuel Molina might join Chelsea this January transfer window

According to reports, Chelsea are now considering Nahuel Molina as an option. He had played an important role in the World Cup alongside Enzo Fernandez. Molina had featured in six matches and came on as a substitute in one of them. He even had one goal and an assist registered to his name. The Argentina player will be returning to Atletico Madrid after his World Cup win. He have made 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season. Although Nahuel Molina is a regular starter at Atletico Madrid, he could leave the club. However, they are unlikely to consider selling the player. Selling Nahuel Molina can be considered if a good offer is made to the club by Chelsea.

Molina’s contract with Atletico is till 2027 therefore the release clause could be activated if Chelsea are to buy him. Chelsea are also monitoring Benjamin Pavard’s situation. He have recently hinted that he would like a new challenge in his career. He did not seem too keen to extend his contract with Bayern Munich in 2024.
