Neil Lennon’s Jaw-Dropping Revelation: Arsenal’s Set Piece Tactics Shock the Football World!”

The 52-year old Neil Lennon has demonstrated on the threat possessed by Arsenal from their set-pieces. He was taken aback by how much chaos Arsenal caused from dead ball situations in their Champions League clash against Porto.

The Gunners are seriously threatening at dead ball situations, having scored 17 times in the Premier League from it. Moreover, it is the highest scoring side as well to find the net from that position. Similarly, the north Londoners were again causing problems from set pieces against Porto.

Neil Lennon remarks the effectiveness of Arsenal from dead balls

Nicolas Jover, Arsenal’s set-pieces coach, has surely done enough this season to prove his penny. Highlighting the impact of dead balls, Lennon praises the Gunners by saying,

Arsenal’s set pieces are without question one of the stories of the season – It’s like the old days under George Graham. Ben White just wants to be a nuisance, Varela can’t handle him, pushing and shoving, and causing a distraction for the Porto defenders.

It’s hung up to the far post, they’ve got William Saliba, Kai Havertz and Gabriel challenging for it. They should have scored from at least one of them.”

Not only have Arteta and Edu filled Arsenal’s squad with technically brilliant footballers, but the pair have also transformed the Gunners into a physical force. There are many players in the squad who boast a height of over 6feet. Declan Rice, Gabriel, Havertz, Ben White , William Saliba and Kiwior, all are a mammoth in front of the goal during set-pieces.

It is unknown that Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta did these signings on purpose or not. But whatsoever be the reason, the moves are looking to pay off now despite the defeat in Portugal in the first leg.
