Newcastle Star’s Future in Limbo: PSG Eyeing £100m Move – Transfer Drama Unfolds!

Newcastle United

There have been recent reports suggesting that French side Paris Saint Germain are speculating a £100m move for one Newcastle United star. For Eddie Howe and the Saudi Public Investment Fund, Newcastle’s 2023/24 campaign arguably hasn’t turned out how they would’ve liked.

A season that fans were expecting to be much promising has turned out to be a disappointing one. Though, much of its credit goes to the injury-driven players. The unavailability of key players alongwith Financial fair play looming up, Eddie Howe had to cope up with that. One player however, who is really impressing even at the dark times is midfielder Bruno Guimares. The Brazilian is the fulcrum of the side and the one man that makes everything tick. Indeed, he is instrumental to everything that Howe wants his team to achieve.

The Paris giants are weighing up a move for Newcastle ace

The recent reports from some outlets suggest that corridors of power at Parc Des Princes are searching for Bruno’s signature. However, if Newcastle are able to fulfill the Brazilian’s required ambitions, he will not be leaving for sure. Speaking on his Daily Briefing, Fabrizio Romano suggets that,

“There is a lot of noise surrounding Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, and I said about PSG’s interest in Bruno already last summer and this January. The interest has been there for a long time but nothing more as Newcastle never made him available in the summer or in January.

At the moment, I’m not aware of anything regarding Chelsea being interested in the player either despite reports elsewhere. Bruno is 100% focused on Newcastle right now, and in the summer his £100m clause will be active… then we will see what happens.”

One can never out and out deny any possibility for the future. There are commotions between the club and player at the time of discussing contract renewals. However, in Bruno’s case, if PSG or anyone else come in with a £100m+ bid this summer, the Magpies won’t have a leg to stand on anyway.
