Newcastle have been reportedly linked with Paul Pogba for a move from Manchester United. The rumour is completely out of the world, but still the wage has the capacity to raise some eyebrows.

Last month a report by the Sun claimed Newcastle was one of the clubs who are possible candidates for acquiring Pogba next summer. His contract is set to terminate at the end of this term. Moreover, it is obvious by now that he does not wish to stay at Manchester United for another term.

Though this rumour seems to be too implausible, still it seems that Pogba would not fit too well into the Newcastle lineup. The Magpies were taken over by a Saudi led confederation for a whopping 300 million last year. After that they have been quite busy in the January transfer market, picking up important players. They acquired Atletico Madrid right back Kieran Trippier for a healthy sum of 16.2 million. Moreover, they also bought veteran striker Chris Wood for an eye-popping sum of 33 million.

Their highest bid was for talented youngster Bruno Guimares who they acquired for 44 million. All these players have been quite sharp and Newcastle have quite benefited from their services.

Pogba seems not to be interested in playing for Newcastle

Though the sum that is doing the rounds for Pogba are fantastic still it looks that Pogba is not at all interested in playing for the Magpies. Moreover, it is said that the fans are also not too eager to see him play for their club.

Also, the gossip is too far-fetched to swallow. Moreover, Newcastle owners would also reconsider before paying such a huge sum as wage.

This wage structure is also said to be creating tensions in the dressing room. It is not feasible for one player to earn 10 times more than another player.
