Nicolas Jackson’s brace helps Chelsea to beat West Ham

Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca, became the first manager to win his first three away matches in the Premier League since Manchester City‘s boss, Pep Guardiola, in 2016. The Blues were able to continue their winning run in the Premier League after beating Bournemouth and West Ham in the last two Premier League fixtures respectively. Chelsea beat West Ham by 3-0 to secure their spot in the top four position in the Premier League table.

West Ham are really struggling in the new Premier League season. Julen Lopetegui‘s side managed to secure only one win in their first five Premier League games. The Hammers conceded nine goals while scoring only five so far. They Lost to Manchester City at home and now also to Chelsea, at home again. Chelsea on the other hand have earned seven points in their last three Premier League fixtures. They secured a draw against Crystal Palace, but since then, Chelsea beat Bournemouth, and now also managed to take down West Ham with three goals to nil.

Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer broke the hearts of West Ham fans

West Ham were only managed to be the second-best team in the game, as it took only four minutes for the Hammers to concede the first goal of the match. Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson, breaks the heart of the West Ham fans after scoring the opener within the first four minutes of the match. It was casual defending by the hammers as Jackson took advantage, sprinted through toward the goal, and slotted the ball beyond the goalkeeper. It all looked too easy for Jackson.

The Senegalese doubled up the lead for Chelsea after scoring the second goal in the 18th minute. Again it was a defensive error by the Hammers as the Blues found it easy yet again to find spaces between the defenders. Moises Caicedo’s through ball was perfectly met by the run from Jackson, who again dispatched the ball back of the net by the outside of his boot. Jackson has scored four goals and provided two assists in the Premier League so far. It’s been a brilliant start for the Chelsea striker.

Securing the victory, two minutes into the second half, Cole Palmer made it three for the Blues, as West Ham were still facing problems in their defence line. This time Jackson was the assist provider and Palmer finished confidently against West Ham goalkeeper, Areola. Last season’s highest goalscorer and assist provider for the Blues secured the three points. Palmer scored his second goal of the new season. The number 20 of the Blues haa already bagged four assists.
