Nicolo Zaniolo: Tottenham Bound?

Tottenham Hotspur have registered an interest in Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo. The attacking midfielder featured 42 times for Jose Mourinho’s team last season and won the inaugural Conference League. The Italian contributed with 8 goals and 9 assists.

Spurs have been extremely busy this transfer window. They have signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence so far. A number of positions have been shored up, and next up is the attacking midfield one.

Zaniolo is a player they have admired for a while. Now that the North Londoners have a strong Italian connection with Fabio Paraticci and Antonio Conte at the helm, a move may be facilitated.

Zaniolo To Spurs: How Likely Is It?

Fabio Paratici has travelled to Italy to meet with Tiago Pinto, the president of Roma. He will also consult with other Serie A teams about the potential sales of Japhet Tanganga and Bryan Gil. Spurs may sell Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele first, then make an offer for Zaniolo. Other names on the departure list include Harry Winks. Sergio Regulion and Emerson Royal.

Jose Mourinho is a fan of Tottenham defender Joe Rodon. He signed the young defender from Swansea City during his time at White Hart Lane. The Welshman may be included in a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo.

Spurs are aware of the fact that Roma will not be willing to part with Zaniolo. He is one of the top prospects in Serie A. However, the Italian has suffered multiple injuries in his short career so far. Perhaps they can cash out on someone who may have an uncertain career in the future?

On his day, Zaniolo can be a frightening player to face. He is capable of playing in the middle as well as on the right-wing. Provided he stays fit, Zaniolo can be an asset for any team in the world.
