Chelsea is reportedly facing a crisis with Christopher Nkunku who allegedly aired his dissatisfaction over the role that he plays in the club. With ten goals already this season, Nkunku showed that Mauricio Enzo Maresca did not play him to the full extent of his potential.
He felt that he was being played out of position and was, therefore less potent before the goal. The unease comes as Chelsea still struggle to score goals in the final third. There is a lack of consistency. And losing another significant piece, like Nkunku, would make things only tougher in this season.
Chelsea is on the verge of experiencing an internal conflict. Their ace striker Christopher Nkunku has apparently become disillusioned with being used by new manager Enzo Maresca. Though the French forward is the team’s top scorer with ten goals this season, he feels undervalued.
The role assigned to him by the head coach did not give him enough opportunities to attack. Generally, he normally shines as a deep forward and also as an all-action regular winger. As per footballinsider, the Chelsea forward can leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.
Nkunku Chelsea relationship
It is the worst possible time for Chelsea to face this situation. At this moment, they can’t catch on with results in a consistent manner. If Nkunku does not get sorted out sooner rather than later, then the Blues could be losing one of the club’s most treasured players, and the dressing room will also face unrest. Pochettino will have to learn to address the frustration from Nkunku well in time and, if so, reorganize his tactical setup for the best output for the striker.
