Arsenal are ready to sell Nuno Tavares in the summer transfer window for a very small fee, who is currently on loan at Marseille.

Tavares joined Arsenal for just £7 million in the summer of 2021 from Benfica. The Portuguese full-back looked like a exciting prospect, but things changed after first six months at the Emirates.

The 23-year-old scored on his debut at Scotland and started his Premier League career on a high note. He kept Keiran Tierney out of the squad for some time.

However, things changed in the second half of the season. Tavares’ form dipped and he was shipped off to French Club Marseille.

Gunners are now ready to sell Tavares in the summer. But their asking price dipped down drastically in a matter of just 12 months.

West Ham United are interested in Nuno Tavares this summer

According to Portuguese outlet Record, Hammers are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from Arsenal this summer. Reports claimed that West Ham have already made a bid for the full-back.

The reports also claimed Arsenal are prepared to let Tavares go for just £7 million, the exact amount they paid to sign him in 2021. His market value dropping from £35 million to £7 million in less than a year’s time is just shocking.

Seria-A side Atalanta wanted to sign Tavares last summer, but Arsenal demanded a mammoth £35 million. That valuation looked almost brainless.

However, Arsenal have now find themselves in right position to offload him in the summer.
