Arsenal gets their second win of the season as they beat Burnley by 1-0. Martin Odegard made the headlines with an amazing free-kick goal and giving relief to Mikel Arteta and the fans after a slow start.

After losing to Brentford, Chelsea, and Man City, Arsenal got their first win of the season last weekend against Norwich. Even though the result wasn’t convincing enough Arsenal got some relief by getting their first points of the season.

Arsenal had a tough match this weekend against Burnley away from home. Being away from home is difficult for any team. Arsenal started off slow with the Burnley defense standing strong against the Arsenal attack. Burnley also looked sharp on the counter and got a couple of good chances to test Aaron Ramsdale.

Burnley was in the game until Barnes tripped Saka 25 yards away from goal ending up giving a free-kick to Arsenal. Martin Odegard took the free-kick scoring a screamer to give Arsenal the lead. Odegard’s goal was the only goal of the match although there were many chances for both teams.

Some controversial VAR decisions decisive in Arsenal vs Burnley

Burnley was on the attack for most of the second half trying to get an equalizer. For once Burnley came close after being awarded a penalty in the 68th minute but VAR came into play saving Arsenal’s day by overturning the decision. Many Burnley fans believe that they had been robbed of a penalty after a clear mistake from Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale.

Burnley fans ended up leaving the stadium in disappointment and anger after ending up on the losing side at Turf Moor. Although the result wasn’t a convincing one for Arsenal, The Gunner’s fans enjoyed the victory.

Arsenal Fans rejoiced with impressive performances from Ramsdale, Odegard, Smith Rowe, and Saka. With the second win on the run after a sluggish start, Arsenal looks to continue their winning run to keep climbing up the Premier League table.
