Arsenal have reportedly reached a full agreement to sign Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukrainian has agreed a four-year deal with the Gunners.

Despite the suspension of Benjamin Mendy due to a police charge, the left-back has struggled for game time last season under Pep Guardiola. However, he has done well when called upon by the manager.

MANCHESTER CITY HAVE A REPLACEMENT READY AFTER HIS DEPARTURE

Joao Cancelo was the first choice at left-back last season. Oleksandr Zinchenko made only 15 appearances last season. Furthermore, Pep Guardiola is now trying to sign a new left-back. The Premier League champions are now in pursuit of Brighton’s Marc Cucurella. The defender wanted to leave the club in search of more game-time with his new club.

Many clubs including Arsenal were credited with interest. However, the interest cooled down. Although, the Gunners reignited their interest in the left-back. This is after Lisandro Martinez rejected them for Manchester United. Oleksandr Zincheko is now keen to reunite with Mikel Arteta. The Ukrainian worked with Arteta when he was the assistant manager at Manchester City.
