The Premier League transfer market is about to finish at the end of this month. Teams are trying their best to make the required signings for their respective squad. Chelsea already completed 10 new signings in this transfer window and their latest addition to the squad is the Portuguese winger Pedro Neto from Wolves. Still, more players are expected to join the Blues as well as some players are likely to leave Stamford Bridge. Currently, Chelsea are facing a transfer mess that involves the future of English international Conor Gallagher.
What is the future for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher?
Gallagher is a Chelsea graduate, who joined the Blues at the edge of Blues. Gallagher completed four loan spells before making his appearance in the Chelsea senior team. Last season Conor Gallagher gave his career-best performance, making 50 appearances for the Blues across all competitions. However, the English international is facing problems about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were on the verge of signing Atletico Madrid’s young striker Samuel Omorodion. But the Spaniard canceled the move at the very last moment. Both the Samuel Omorodion and Conor Gallagher deal were interlinked with each other, though it was not a swap deal. But Atletico Madrid need money to buy Conor Gallagher and without selling players that is impossible. They already spent 80M to sign Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez. So now the Club is desperate to generate money so that they can sign Conor Gallagher. Chelsea were agreed to Samuel Omorodion for 35M and on the other hand, Atletico were set to get Conor Gallagher for 36M. As Samuel Omorodion refused to join the Blues due to the proposals of the deal, Conor Gallagher is facing uncertainty. Gallagher already came back from Atletico Madrid and returned to Chelsea training ground.
The Blues are linked with another Atletico Madrid forward
As Chelsea are desperate to offload some of the players including Conor Gallagher, the Blues are trying hard to find out more ways. So, Chelsea are now linked with Joao Felix for a possible move to Stamford Bridge. Felix also showed his interest in joining the Blues as he previously with Chelsea as a loan player. The Portuguese spent the whole season with Barcelona as a loan player and Atletico Madrid will be happy to sell him. According to the news published by goal, Atletico Madrid are asking 40M for the 24-year-old and trying their best to convince Chelsea to meet all the criteria.
Felix is interested in joining the Blues but still, no final or firm deal has been made so far from the Blues. Both the Clubs are working hard to complete the deal and hoping that this deal will not collapse. So, Conor Gallagher’s move to the Spanish side is not over, and possibilities are still there. Conor Gallagher is also hoping to join Atletico Madrid, as his requirement at the Chelsea squad is getting lesser day by day.
