Victor Osimhen may want to rethink his charm offensive to Arsenal and Chelsea if they are seeking to lure him into the Premier League this summer. Currently on loan from Napoli, the Nigerian striker is having a ball in Istanbul, scoring goals, kissing the badge and generally making it look like irritating the (irruptive Napoli for allowing him to go in the first place.)
Therefore, what can we expect from the 26-year-old goal machine? There is no option to buy clause with the loan deal and clubs will be able to battle for him in the summer. However, taking a look at his latest Instagram post where he smooches the Galatasaray crest, he might not be in fear of adopting it.
Osimhen: A Fan Favorite in Istanbul
Osimhen has been nothing but spectacular since arriving at Galatasaray. He has netted 14 goals and provided four assists from 18 Süper Lig appearances. That’s that, golden boot contender good. He is making Okan Buruk’s side into the top of the First division and they remain unbeaten.
Premier League clubs have all circling like hungry vultures and so have been unaware of his performances, however Osimhen is more concerned with having fun in Istanbul. In fact, his recent comments have shown that he is more worried about winning the league and the Europa League if he stays at his current club.
Arsenal & Chelsea’s Dreams Are Fading
Arsenal and Chelsea desperately need a lethal striker and Osimhen would be perfect. VAR is not what Arsenal need but someone more clinical, while Chelsea’s forwards have been no more reliable than a Wi Fi signal in a basement.
Osimhen has, however, made it clear: He is staying in Turkey until the end of the season. “I am a Galatasaray player and I am happy here,” he said. London fans weren’t particularly what they were hoping to hear.
